MEET DR. ZIMMERMAN

Edward M. Zimmerman, M.D.
COSMETIC SURGEON

Edward M. Zimmerman, MD, specializes in cosmetic surgery, aesthetic procedures, and Regenerative Medicine for men and women of all ages. He holds degrees from Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, and George Washington University School of Medicine. He is the President of the American Board of Laser Surgery and has served on the Boards of Trustees of the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the Cosmetic Surgery Foundation.

He received the distinguished CSF 2025 Webster Lecturer Award for his leadership and outstanding contributions to the specialty of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Zimmerman is involved in patient care, research, writing, and education and has a social media following of more than 2.4 million.

He directs Aesthetic Revolution Las Vegas, a state-licensed, AAAHC-accredited surgical facility dedicated to delivering safe and effective regenerative and rejuvenation treatments.

SKILLS AND SPECIALTIES

As a seasoned, artistic cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Z continually researches techniques and technologies to raise the bar, improve safety, and extend the results of cosmetic procedures. He is a continuously curious, skilled educator and proceduralist who is passionate about both basic and complex/bundled procedures from forehead to feet and everywhere in between.

He uses and teaches the use of state-of-the-art devices across the electromagnetic spectrum, including lasers, light, radiofrequency, ultrasound, acoustic shockwave, and electromagnetic fields.

He combines these modalities with regenerative medicine, PRP, photo-biomodulation, and surgery to optimize outcomes, reduce risk, and shorten recovery time.

He is known for artistic energy-based liposculpting with Renuvion, CO2 laser skin resurfacing, tattoo removal, cellulite treatments, and genital enhancement procedures for men and women.

Dr. Z’s wry sense of humor, broad knowledge, meticulous analysis, communication skills, and finesse in facial and body treatments make him a sought-after practitioner and educator.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Dr. Zimmerman graduated with departmental honors in biology from The Johns Hopkins University and has a master’s in physiology from Georgetown University. He received his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, after which he completed a three-year residency in family medicine in Beaver, PA with a heavy emphasis on surgical procedures, emergency room, and urgent care medicine.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

Dr. Zimmerman has received numerous awards and honors over his career, including the prestigious Academic Excellence in Cosmetic Surgery Education Award from the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

He was honored with the “Best of Las Vegas Cosmetic Surgery” award in 2009 and was named among America’s Top Surgeons in 2010, 2012, and 2014 by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. He was named Leading Physician of the World in 2011 and 2012 and Top Cosmetic Surgeon in Las Vegas, NV. He was voted Silver State “Best Cosmetic Surgeon” in 2013 and 2014.

Most recently, he received the distinguished Cosmetic Surgery Foundation’s 2025 Webster Lecturer Award, a lifetime achievement honor recognizing his leadership and outstanding contributions to the specialty of Cosmetic Surgery.

PUBLICATIONS

Dr. Zimmerman is currently a faculty member of the Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He has lectured nationally and internationally for nearly three decades, published articles and chapters on the use of lasers, light, and toxins, is a co-author of the comprehensive Study Guide of the American Board of Laser Surgery, and he has hosted hundreds of physicians for preceptorships in the state-of-the-art office that he helped design. He is a life-long student, teacher, and innovator with a passion for cosmetic surgery.
