37-year-old Latin Male with syringomas around and under the eyes. These are benign overgrowths of the sweat glands.
Previous treatments include CO2 laser and /or TCA (acid), which can cause permanent loss of pigment in the adjacent skin, so they were not ideal for skin of color.
He was treated with a newer technology, Agnes monopolar RF, after a painless injectable anesthetic. The treatment takes under an hour per session. There is no physical downtime. There may be some swelling and bruising that resolves in 10 to 14 days.
Patients can apply tinted makeup or cover-up after 5 days, once the transparent dressing falls off.
